About The Department

The Department of Mathematics was established in 2010 and has completed 13 years. The department has qualified, young and dynamic faculty. The department is dedicated to impact high quality education in Mathematics to the undergraduate students for helping them to solve challenging problems. Department of Mathematics has courses at the undergraduate level with entire Mathematics for the third year in Science stream while in Commerce stream Mathematical and Statistical Techniques is taught at the first-year level. Faculty encourage and guide students to participate in various intercollegiate competitions. Also, students are given guidance for various competitive examinations

Aim & Objectives

To offer a set of core courses in mathematics aimed at developing the student’s intellectual curiosity, creative ability and habit of independent study.
To provide opportunities for the student to participate in collaborative work and develop their leadership and group work skills.
To provide the opportunity for students to concentrate in Mathematics to study related fields.
To develop knowledge of mathematical reasoning and statistical analysis.
To develop problem solving & justification skills through providing root knowledge of basic mathematics.
To provide academically coherent undergraduate programme in Mathematics.
